I finally got to see Love is The Devil - a film based on the true story of the relationship between famous painter Francis Bacon + his lover, George Dyer (who was 30 years his junior + they met when George tried to burgle him). Telegraph at weekend had a review of Derek Jacobi's memoirs which sound good plus an article on Holly Golightly from Truman Capote's Breakfast at Tiffanys (both the book + the film - originally Marilyn Monroe was supposed to play HG then they cast Audrey Hepburn + the film is somewhat different to the book + I read that Truman Capote wasn't that ( Read more... )

Got new issue of Marie Claire - they had a nice feature on Debbie Harry. Also mentioned Mickey Sumner (Sting's daughter) is playing Patti Smith in that new film about CBGB's (legendary New York venue) - I can't remember who's playing Debbie Harry but they have got somebody playing her for the film as well. I got Issue 2 of Hunger magazine (new project by photographer Rankin) and really liked it, I preferred it to the 1st issue as I thought they'd got a better selection of interviewees plus some gorgeous photography. I keep forgetting to mention I did finally get the 1st issue of LOVE magazine and I really loved it. It's a big thick glossy magazine costing a fiver, similar to POP, Wonderland etc. It had so much stuff in it that I loved, really gorgeous photography and some great interviews.
